Livestrong Partnership Continues with YMCA
May 03, 2024 02:07 PM - St. Mary’s Hospital and the Jefferson City Area YMCA have renewed their commitment to bring the Livestrong program to the Jefferson City community.
St. Mary’s Hospital has partnered with the YMCA for almost a decade on the Livestrong program which is a research-based physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors achieve their health goals.
Survivors in the group meet at the Hartsfield and Knowles YMCA locations for the 12-week program. During the sessions, participants focus on cardiovascular exercise, resistance training, balance, and flexibility.
