Emergency Trip Dries Tears
The very anxious mom was glad she chose St. Mary’s that day. “Our ER nurse was top notch. He is everything a nurse should be. He is quick, yet caring, smart and funny. He knew all of the answers to our questions. I venture to say he is the best nurse we have ever had anywhere.”
Jill also praised the ED receptionist, the radiological technician and the physician for the thorough and compassionate approach each took. “I like a physician who is careful and does not take any risks. I also love the fact that he didn’t write a script for antibiotics and send us out the door.” Jill left later “with a happy boy and a normal temperature.”
But what most amazed Jill that day was what did not happen. “I never once even sat in the waiting room chairs! We walked in and were immediately taken to triage and then to a room.”
She finished her note to St. Mary’s: “As my son finally sleeps peacefully for the first time all day, I had to take a minute to thank all of you. So thanks to everyone for making this first-time mommy feel more at ease.”
