Mission

Every day, we make a difference in people’s lives at St. Mary’s Health Center.  But exceptional health care involves more than a team of doctors, nurses and other skilled caregivers.  Healing begins with a commitment.

St. Mary’s Health Center Foundation is the community’s commitment to exceptional care; now and for future generations.  As hospitals face soaring costs and declining government reimbursements, community support becomes even more critical – especially for health centers like St. Mary’s with an unwavering commitment to charity care.  St. Mary’s Foundation is an independent, 501(c)(3) charitable organization established in 1991 and governed by a 29-member community board of directors.  All donations are used locally.

Activities

The Foundation:

• Raises money to fund patient care programs, equipment, state-of-the-art medical technology, enhancements to the healing environment, scholarships, and medication assistance to patients in financial need.
• Provides grants for health care services including cardiology, surgery, oncology, obstetrics, and scholarships; as well as the health center’s most urgent needs.
• Promotes charitable giving that allows individuals and organizations to make an immediate impact, or to create a lasting legacy through a planned or estate gift.
