St. Mary’s Health Center Auxiliary will host the 54th annual Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, June 15, at the St. Joseph Cathedral Undercroft in Jefferson City.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., covering lunch and dinner for dine-in or carry-out. St. Mary’s staff and volunteers will be dishing up homemade cake topped with Central Dairy ice cream. Grilled bratwursts, chicken breasts, hamburgers and hot dogs will be served, along with side dishes and drinks.
Other offerings during the day:
- Booths including Country Store, Children’s Emporium, Tag Sale, Book Nook and Mini Spa
- A silent auction, including gift baskets donated by various St. Mary’s departments and local businesses
- A raffle for a quilt crafted by the Auxiliary’s Busy Fingers Quilters
- Fun for children in the Kids’ Korner
- Free health screenings for blood pressure and body mass index, as well as education on diabetes
“This is the perfect opportunity to share lunch or dinner with friends and family at a thrifty price,” says event chair Judy Schneider. “What better way to enjoy an afternoon than with great food and fun, while helping to support a very worthy cause.”
Proceeds of the event go to St. Mary’s Auxiliary to help purchase new equipment and technology to enhance patient care at St. Mary’s Health Center.
St. Joseph Cathedral is located at 2215 W. Main St. The entrance to the undercroft is in the rear of the church building.
