St. Mary’s Health Center is taking big strides this spring to raise awareness for cancer by offering people an opportunity take a few extra steps in support of this global health issue.

St. Mary’s is sponsoring the St. Mary’s Global Healing 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, May 2, at 9 a.m. to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The 5K event route will be along the scenic Jefferson City Greenway, starting at JCMG and ending at St. Mary’s Health Center.

Parking will be available at St. Mary’s Dunklin Street parking lot with shuttles running to JCMG from 8 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.

Awards will be given by age group and overall top finishers for men and women.

The cost of the 5K run/walk is $18 for registrants who pre-register or $22 to register on event day. A Relay for Life team t-shirt is included in cost of registration.
